Booster Dose : India is marking its 75th anniversary of independence on this occasion The Central Government of India has announced that starting from July 15, 2022, for the following 75 days, everyone above the age of 18 would receive booster dosages at the center free of cost.

Har Ghar Dastak Campaign 2.0
In order to speed up immunization and promote booster injections Center Government began the second phase of the “Har Ghar Dastak campaign 2.0” on 1st June, 2022. Currently, the two-month programme is being carried out in all Indian states.
Government statistics show that 96% of India’s population has received the first dose of the Covid vaccination, and 87% of individuals have received both doses.
Chronology of Vaccination
Healthcare workers received vaccinations as part of the initial phase of the nation-wide immunization campaign, which began on January 16 of last year. Front-line employees began receiving vaccinations on February 2 of last year.
Covid-19 immunization for adults over 60 and those over 45 with certain comorbid diseases started on March 1 of last year.

On January 3 of this year, vaccinations for those between the ages of 15 and 18 began.
