He had a keen interest in theatre since his school days and began his career as a theatre artist in Delhi. performed in several plays like "Hayvadan," "Tughlaq," and "Court Martial."
Satish Kaushik made his debut in the film industry with the film "Masoom" in 1983. However, it was his role as "Calendar" in the film "Mr. India" that gave him nationwide recognition.
He went on to direct several successful films like "Mere Baap Pehle Aap," "Tere Naam," and "Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain."
